Maori Television is a New Zealand television station that shows programmes that contribute significantly to the revival of the Maori language and culture. It began airing from its studios in Newmarket, Auckland, on March 28, 2004, with funding from the New Zealand Government. It has now relocated to Auckland’s East Tamaki district.
